Police Officer

First Police Party with the car I adapted, 2006.
The first parts I had, taken with an early camera phone.
A bit of practice on a summer afternoon.
A photo suitable for an ID card etc.

Why

My dad was a Police Officer and part of me would have liked to have one. I never truly considered trying to join though. Apart from probably not being fit enough, I wouldn’t have felt like I could handle myself in a violent situation. And then there was all the dealing with scum and arseholes thing that would have driven me insane.

Anyway, I have a lot of respect for the police and the job they do and it’s kind of weird how it’s a “costume” I could never have worn out in public when I had it.

My dad in police uniform and tights. For some reason.
A poster of my dad that was around Wakefield City Centre where he was a beat Officer.

When

2006 and 2007.

Elements

Stab vest, cap, helmet, utility belt, various bought or replica/toy equipment, shirt, home made epaulette number board, riot helmet, riot shield, Riot protection pads,

Amount of Work

Props like the riot shield and shoulder numbers took a while.

Level of use

A couple of private parties 2006/2007, and a couple of even more private practice sessions.

Notes

Mr brother gained access to my house and stole all my uniform and props for this so he could make shit videos for Facebook and get likes with some people he barely knew from Bradford because he’s a worthless cretin. I truly hate him for a number of reasons even worse than this that I won’t go into.

Future use

Not possible.

I’m not saying this was ecstasy. (But it was ecstasy.)
Private party for 2, 2007.
Early hours of the big 2007 party.
Policeman’s Ball party, 2006.
Riot Gear, 2007.
Another photos from the 2006 party.
Riot Cop wine in the kitchen, 2007.
Tree Police, May 2007.
Both parties were enormous fun. This was from the first one in October 2006.
Mucking about at the 2007 party.
A riot shield I made for the party, to go along with the full set of riot gear I decided I needed to have. The letters were made out of reflective material obtained from a traffic cone or two.
A red vandalised car I had, and resprayed, along with alternative graphics I designed.
One of the first photos I took of me wearing the tunic dress/formal uniform.
