I brought my alien egg to the cinema, for all the other patrons seeing “Aliens” tonight, to enjoy. It went down quite well.

It’s taken 10 weeks and various setbacks, but I’ve just finished making a full-size egg from the Alien/Aliens films. It took 36 3D printed parts to assemble it. I took it out for some location photos last night and this morning. I’m pretty pleased with it. I’ve also documented the build process here:
