Why

These have got on my nerves for as long as I’ve known them to be there so I eventually got round to find out where they were, how to get there.
It was ideal to work with what was already there and just change or subvert the message.

When

Various years around 2010 – 2014.

Where

At two locations beside the M62 between Castleford and Rothwell.

Production

None required apart from thinking about what the existing text could be changed to.

Execution

Extendable pole and a whole lot more enthusiasm for doing things late at night than I can be be bothered with now.

Sod that Jesus bollocks. This is better.

This was the basis for one of the second site edits, but they changed part of the text before the second visit.

Two edits were made to the top image after they restored the original text.

Notes

Whoever pays for these is really keen on maintaining them no matter what happens to them. I think they must get aroused by proselytising like this somehow.

Long enough to be seen by thousands of people on a daily basis for days or weeks.
