Why

These are a short distance from the pavement or road where you’d often see them, and they seemed like blank canvasses begging to be used. They just needed to be simple shapes. I chose a love heart, because that’s happy and positive and a pint of beer because it was simple, I like beer and I’d just created it for my Orderaround Logo.

Standard stencil shenanigans.

Execution

Some weeding and clearing and pre-painting in white before painting some stencils. The heart shaped one went wrong and wasn’t aligned properly, but hey ho. Never mind.

Notes

There are other obscurely placed manhole covers I’ve had my eye on but never get round to doing anything with.

Still there, but quite worn and obscured.
