Fire Tower Spray Can
Why
One night I was wandering around late at night with a friend and we decided to have a look at the back of the Fire Station. I’d already scaled the Church Tower because it had scaffolding on it during restoration work, but I wondered what the view would be like from the other tallest structure in Rothwell. My friend had been saving his used deodorant can for some odd reason and we’d decided to try and distribute them in strange places. Most didn’t work as we were trying to stick them onto vertical surfaces. There was a small ledge on the outside of the fire tower so we glued one there.
Materials / Media
Just an empty Lynx Oriental Deodorant spray can and some epoxy glue.
Notes
Technically, it may have been visible to the public, but only two people knew it was there.
Duration & Fate
It lasted a long time. Quite possibly right up to when they stuck mobile phone masts on top and then built a fake extension to the top of the tower to hide them. So maybe about 10-15 years.
