Flag Clothes

My first of very few wearings of the England T-Shirt.

What

A t-shirt and long sleeved top with the St George Cross of the England flag on both sides.

Why

I really can’t remember, but it was a time before Brexit when wearing a flag seemed more appealing. I didn’t just want a plain cross and thought some visual texture would be good.

When

February 2016.

Development & Progress

I got some different shades and types of red fabric.
I cut them into hundreds of pieces.
Hera was interested as I prepared for a lot of sewing albeit mostly by machine.

I decided the edges would look better ragged.
A finished t-shirt. The St George cross is on both sides.

Later / Current Status

I have worn the t-shirt very few times and I don’t recall ever having worn the long sleeved top. Partly because I tend to think flag wearing is a bit lame and reminds me of football-loving meatheads and Brexit worshipping muppets.

I also made a similar long sleeved top.
