I’ve appeared in and on TV, radio, magazines, newspapers and websites. Mostly for my articles promoting my pub map designs, but also for other stuff I’ve created, seen or done. The biggest exposure I had was either in the Daily Star for my Toy Suit or when I appeared in Viz with my massive “Minge” bottle-top artwork. I don’t have records of everything, but here’s a fair selection.
My face didn’t appear in this Viz letters page submission, but my name did. I was really pleased with this.
Showing off my minge in a top shelf publication. It was a proud moment when I appeared in Viz.
Appearing on a Leeds TV, a channel that is probably watched by about 20 people.

A 2018 Selby Times article (with no photo of me, despite me having provided several).
The Northern Echo featured me in a 2021 article promoting the Durham map (and others) that I’d just finished. Photo was in the tiny Tin of Sardines.
Appearing in the North Leeds Life magazine in 2014.
Web version of a Huddersfield Examiner article for my Kirklees map in late 2016. The map never did very well unfortunately.
An article for the Calderdale map in the Hebden Bridge Times and Todmorden News. Another map that really failed to live up to expectations.

Another photo that was used in a Wakefield Express article from about 1985 when I held a further jumble sale in aid of my school. I think I raised something like £30 or less.
A March 2021 Daily Star article about my Toy Suit. An agency photographer was sent to take various photos of me and at that point it wasn’t known which newspaper I’d be likely to appear in.
I’d already done a telephone interview about my Leeds map in February 2014, but in September 2014, BBC Radio Leeds invited me along to their studio for a live interview about my Wakefield map.
I appeared on the BBC News Website on the first day of the Covid-19 lockdown in March 2020. The freelance photographer that took this also took a lot more and promised to share them with me. He didn’t though.
