Computer and Console Games

PlayStation

I bought myself a PlayStation and played various games on it. Cartoonish ones like Crash Bandicoot were much better suited to the platform compared with ones based on films like Aliens, but I enjoyed it anyway. When I was off work for 10 weeks in 2002 I struggled to get through a game called Medal of Honor: Underground. Even though you could save progress points and even on the easy level I must have spent hundreds of hours on it in order to complete it, and it may have been the only one I did. And it wasn’t even very good. I had no strategy for games like Mortal Kombat and relied on frantic button bashing or a few signature moves.
I still have the PS 1 and some of these games, but I haven’t played them for about 20 years.

Not mine, but the same.
Mortal Kombat II (1996)
Although these games were fun, I relied on basic moves unless my erratic button bashing got lucky.
Crash Bandicoot (1996)
The bright angular low-poly graphics were better suited to cartoonish games than supposedly realistic gaming experiences.
Tomb Raider (1996)
I usually gave upon Tomb Raider early on as the precision needed was beyond me. It also looked pretty bad even back then.
Alien Triology (1996)
The PS1 had severe limitations and as much as I tried to immerse myself in the game, it was difficult because it didn’t look great.
Medal of Honor Underground (2000)
I completed this game, not because it was good, but because I had knack-all else to do for 10 weeks while recuperating from my Ibiza injury.
