Why

I can’t quite recall how this came about, but it was hugely over-ambitious.

Development & Progress

I may even have measured the dimensions of the football field markings. Or at least looked them up. I achieved absolutely nothing beyond recreating the Pioneer plague as a vector drawing for no discernibly good or useful reason, and superimposing it on a football field layout. I think my intention was to use paint for this somehow, and somehow know where and what to paint through a combination of measurement points and possibly string grids.

Reason for Abandonment

It would have been ludicrously difficult to attempt. I considered making just part of it, as if any aliens that might have started it had been interrupted or it had glitched up. Even making part would have been difficult and probably difficult to make out, so it was consigned to the rubbish heap of ideas, well after when it should have been.

Chances of Revival

None whatsoever.

Legacy

Although unrelated, I did go on to put four paving slabs on the field with a biohazard symbol in 2008.

Regret

None. I’ve clearly had some very grand and unachievable plans.
